Saint Petersburg State University, one of the oldest and most prestigious higher education institutions in the world, celebrates its 300th anniversary. Established in 1724 by Tsar Peter the Great, the university has long been recognized as a global center of academic excellence, producing influential thinkers, scientists, and leaders across generations.
To commemorate this historic milestone, the university hosted an international conference bringing together academics, researchers, policymakers, and education professionals from around the world. Among the distinguished participants, ICE Institute proudly represented Indonesia on this global academic stage.
Global Dialogue on the Future of Higher Education
The conference, held at the Assembly Hall of Saint Petersburg University, centered on the theme:
“Dialogue of Rectors: How Artificial Intelligence is Reshaping the Future of Universities and Higher Education.”
The discussion explored the rapidly evolving role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in transforming higher education systems worldwide. Key topics included the integration of AI into teaching and learning processes, the transformation of academic governance, and the ways universities can adapt their curricula to meet the demands of a digital and knowledge-driven economy.
The forum also emphasized the need for universities to remain agile and responsive in preparing graduates for an increasingly complex and technology-driven global workforce.
ICE Institute’s Representation on the Global Stage
ICE Institute’s participation in this prestigious conference was part of its ongoing international collaboration framework, established through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saint Petersburg University. The MoU reflects a shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in education, research, innovation, and digital transformation in higher education.
The Indonesian delegation was represented by Rahayu Dwi Riyanti, who played an active role in the academic discussions and strategic dialogue sessions throughout the conference.
Keynote Address: Strengthening Industry–University Collaboration
On 19 September 2024, Rahayu Dwi Riyanti delivered a keynote presentation titled:
