Bogor, July 28, 2026 – Indonesia's higher education digital transformation continues to progress rapidly. Over the past five years, the Indonesia Cyber Education Institute (ICE Institute) has become one of the key drivers in developing a digital learning ecosystem that connects higher education institutions, industry, government, and international partners through a collaborative platform. Since its launch on July 28, 2021, as Indonesia's national online learning marketplace, ICE Institute has continuously introduced innovations to expand access to flexible, high-quality, and relevant higher education. Its initiatives—including the development of micro-credentials, credit recognition, and cross-sector collaboration—reflect ICE Institute's commitment to supporting the digital transformation of higher education in Indonesia.
Building an Inclusive Digital Learning Ecosystem
As it celebrates its fifth anniversary, ICE Institute has achieved significant milestones that demonstrate the growth of Indonesia's digital learning ecosystem, including:
Partnering with 49 universities and institutions;
Offering 885 national online courses;
Providing access to more than 16,000 international online courses;
Developing 401 online courses in collaboration with partner universities;
Supported by 956 content developers;
Serving more than 50,925 learners from Indonesia and around the world.
These achievements reflect ICE Institute's role in expanding access to higher education while fostering a culture of lifelong learning through digital technology.
Embracing the Theme: From Growth to Influence
5th Anniversary of ICE Institute is celebrated under the theme: "From Growth to Influence: Shaping the Future of Digital Education." The main celebration features a High-Level Strategic Talk Show entitled "ICE Institute at 5: From Innovation to Transformative Impact," held at the Grand Ballroom, 5th Floor, Startup Center Building, IPB Science Techno Park (STP IPB), IPB Taman Kencana Campus, Bogor. The forum serves as a strategic dialogue platform bringing together key stakeholders from government, higher education institutions, industry, international organizations, academia, students, alumni, and learning communities from Indonesia and abroad.
Featuring Distinguished Leaders in Education and Digital Transformation the strategic discussion featured prominent speakers, including:
- Prof. Ainun Na'im, Chair of the Board of Trustees, Universitas Terbuka;
- Rudiantara, Minister of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (2014–2019);
- Prof. Deni Noviana, Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs, IPB University;
- F.A. Triatmoko HS, Educational Psychology & Digital Learning Specialist, Universitas Indonesia;
- Felix Fernando, a student from Universitas Pradita, representing the new generation of digital learners;
- Dina Nurul Utami, a student from IPB University, representing the new generation of digital learners.
