Student Participation Guide
Welcome to the China–Indonesia Global Hybrid Classroom (GHC) Program! Through the support of the Global MOOC and Online Education Alliance, top Chinese universities are making real-time, hybrid courses available to Indonesian students. Using the Rain Classroom platform, Chinese university classrooms are "cloned" for online access, enabling real-time participation alongside students in China.

2 Before Your Course Begins (Checklist)

Download Rain Classroom (xuetangX): Install the Rain Classroom app or access the Web version (www.rainclass.cn).

Create & Bind Account: Register your account and complete account verification using your registered email.

Join Your Cloned Class: Enter the Class Invitation Code provided by ICE Institute prior to the course start date.

Check Class Schedule & Time Differences: Pay attention to course times specified in Beijing Time (GMT+8) and convert to Western Indonesian Time (WIB / GMT+7).

Review Syllabus & Prerequisites: Ensure you understand the course expectations and possess the required basic knowledge.
3 During the Course Guidelines
Punctuality & Attendance
Log in to Rain Classroom at least 5 minutes before class starts. Attendance is automatically tracked by the system platform.
Active Engagement
Participate in pop-up quizzes, slide interactions, and discussion boards during live sessions.
Assignments & Quizzes
Submit homework, midterm projects, and final assessments punctually via Rain Classroom.
Academic Integrity
All work must be strictly your own. Plagiarism or unauthorized collusion will result in immediate disqualification.
4 Course Completion Requirements
Audit Track (Non-Credit)
- Maintain at least 85% attendance rate throughout the semester.
- Participate actively in class interactions and complete assigned survey forms.
Credit Track (Grade & SKS)
- Maintain at least 85% attendance rate.
- Achieve a cumulative final score of at least 70% (70/100) across all exams and coursework.
- Valid active Passport Number registered in system.
5 Certificates and Academic Credit
Upon successfully meeting all course completion requirements, students will receive an official co-branded certificate issued by the host Chinese university and ICE Institute.
For students on the Credit Track, the certificate will include your final numeric grade and course credit value, which can be presented to your home university in Indonesia for academic credit transfer (SKS).
6 Important Reminders
Time Zone Difference: Chinese Standard Time (CST/Beijing) is 1 hour ahead of WIB (Jakarta). Always adjust class times accordingly!
Notification Channel: Check your registered email and WhatsApp group daily for urgent announcements.

Leveraging the Rain Classroom AI platform, the course has built a knowledge base, course models, AI application systems, and teaching data analytics, integrating AI support throughout pre – class preparation, in – class training, post – class revision, and research writing. Two AI agents – "Reviewer Agent for Literature Review Writing" and "Dr. Write Academic Writing Mentor" – have been designed and applied to support literature review structuring, research question formulation, paper logic optimization, and international journal writing training, extending support from linguistic accuracy to academic reasoning and research logic.
