About This Course

本课程共32课。生词、语法和功能全部覆盖汉语水平考试(HSK)三级,除语音及汉字知识外,共覆盖806个生词、85个基本语法。学完本课程,学习者汉语水平将达到HSK三级。

There are 32 lessons in this course. The new words, grammar and functions are all encompassed in HSK level 3. In addition to the knowledge of phonetics and Chinese characters, it covers 806 new words and 85 basic grammar points. Upon completion of this course, Chinese proficiency of the learners will have reached HSK Level 3.

There are 64 videos in all in this MOOC course, each of which lasts 10-15 minutes. Besides phonetics and Chinese characters, each video consists of the following sections:

1.导入板块。以演员表演情景剧的形式表现中外朋友在中国学习和生活的情景。  

1. Lead-in. To show some friends from home and abroad study and live in China in the form of actors performing sitcoms.

2.生词板块。老师以图片、视频等多种形式讲解生词的语义和用法。

2. New words. The teachers explain the semantic knowledge and usage of new words in various forms, such as picture presentation and video display.

3.语法板块。老师详细讲解汉语基本语法的意义、结构和用法。

3. Grammar. The teachers explain in detail the meaning, structure and usage of basic Chinese grammar points.

4.课文板块。配以漫画播放一遍课文录音,学习者可以反复跟读,学会标准的发音和交际,并可以通过课后练习进行自我检测。

4. Text. To play a text recording with the comics. Learners can repeatedly follow the recording to learn standard pronunciation and communication, and can conduct self-test through after-class exercises.

5.小结板块。用学习者喜欢的RAP说唱形式对课文的重点词汇、重点语法和核心句进行总结,学习者可以跟着rap轻松地复习所学内容。

5. Summary. To summarize the key vocabulary, important grammar points and kernel sentences of the text in the form of rap that learners like.  So they can follow the rap to make an easy review.

  Professor Yaomei Wang

Professor Yaomei Wang started to teach Chinese as a foreign language in 1987. She got her PhD degree on Ancient Chinese Literature from Shandong University in 2004. Now she is the vice dean and master instructor of College of International Education, Shandong University. She was sent officially to Gwangju University(광주대학교), Republic of Korea in 2002. Her main research areas are Second Language Acquisition and Teaching Chinese as a foreign language.

Dr. ZHEN, Zhen, graduated in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from the Chinese Language & Culture College of Beijing Normal University. In 2008, She taught Chinese to international students in China at the International Education College of Shandong University, and once taught courses of Elementary Spoken Language, Elementary Synthesis, Advanced Grammar, Preparatory Synthesis Chinese, and Chinese Pronunciation, etc. She once taught Chinese language at the University of Adelaide in Australia, and Chungnam National University in South Korea.

Meng Chen

Meng Chen started to teach Chinese as a foreign language in 2009, mainly teaching comprehensive and oral Chinese courses for elementary and intermediate students. As a key teacher, he has participated in the preparatory education program for foreign students in Shandong University for many times. He has been sent officially to Leiden University in the Netherlands and University of California, Santa Barbara to teach Chinese language. His main research areas are Teaching Chinese as a foreign language and Chinese language and characters.

Dr. Haotian Li started to teach Chinese as a foreign language in 2010, basically teaching Approach of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language to TCSOL students and Intensive Chinese Reading and Chinese Reading and Writing for elementary and intermediate international students. He was sent officially to Leiden University in the Netherlands (2011-2013) and University of California, Santa Barbara (2016-2018) to teach Chinese language. His main research areas are Approach of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language and Practical Knowledge of TCSOL teachers.
