About This Course
The course systematically introduces the basic technique and methods of Erhu performance, is characterized by its simplicity and comprehensiveness, and explains the key points and difficulties. After finishing this course, the students will know how to play the Erhu, and acquire the ability of playing as well.

Zhang Guoliang
Zhang Guoliang, graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music with a master's degree in literature, and is a member of the Chinese Musicians Association. He is currently an erhu teacher in the Folk Music Department of Sichuan Conservatory of Music, an examiner of the China Musician Association Grading Examination Committee, an executive director of Chen Zhenduo Erhu Art Research Association, an erhu teacher at Lanzhou University Art College, the chief (banhu) of the Longjiang Theater Orchestra in Heilongjiang Province, editor of the Central Conservatory of Music Press, and the first erhu teacher at the Music Confucius Institute at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. He has won international awards such as the first prize in the Estonian International Young Musician Competition, and the gold medal in the nine music academies of the China-Japan-Korea International Erhu Competition. Various music journals and newspapers have published more than 20 papers and interviews, and compiled many books such as "Learning Erhu from Scratch", "Quick Introduction to Erhu 12 Lessons", "Selection of Erhu Contemporary Works", "Selection of Chinese Contemporary Ethnic Chamber Music Works", "Learning Erhu La Nursery Songs", "Selection of Classic Nursery Songs", "200 Erhu Playing Solo Songs", "Chinese Erhu Music Dictionary" and so on. Served as the person in charge and chief creator of two National Arts Fund projects. He has been invited to serve as a judge of international and domestic music competitions many times. Visited more than 20 countries and regions in Europe, America and Southeast Asia.
