About This Course

With the history of ancient Chinese music as the axis, it introduces the music history and music culture of different periods, interspersed with the related content of ancient music and national instruments. Introduce students to traditional Chinese music culture, including its historical development, music aesthetics and styles in different periods (through the reading of ancient music and instrumental music), representative works, musical figures, etc. To carry forward traditional Chinese music culture and promote the dissemination of representative pieces of traditional Chinese music (national instrumental music, vocal music, dance, opera, etc.). Improve students' art appreciation ability and cultivate students' art appreciation level.

Liu Jianting (1982-), female, Doctor of Fine Arts, Deputy Dean of School of Art, Nanchang University, associate professor, master tutor, Jiangxi Province curriculum ideological and political teaching teacher. He is the main lecturer of two provincial courses, has published two personal academic monographs, published many academic papers in core journals, and presided over and participated in more than ten provincial projects.

He is currently working in the School of Art and Characters of Nanchang University, engaged in the teaching and research of composition, composition technology theory, midi music production.

He received his Doctorate in Music and Arts (DMA) from Madison University in Jameson, USA. He is now a lecturer and director of the Piano Teaching and Research Department of the School of Art, Nanchang University.
