About This Course
The target students of the course are English learning enthusiasts who already have a certain degree of English listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating foundation, as well as those who plan to go to the United Kingdom and the United States to study and travel.
The course consists of 30 topics in nine units under two chapters, including the Functional Chapter that highlights the acquisition of language functions and the Cultural Chapter that emphasizes the cultivation of cross-cultural literacy, and a total of 30 topics in nine units, including arrival at customs, study life, food and shopping, daily life, social culture, popular culture, festival culture, campus culture and tourism culture, with one credit hour for each topic and a total of 30 hours of study.

Course Staff
Sujuan Xiong
Sujuan Xiong, associate professor, is the director of Applied French in International College of Ningbo City College of Vocational Technology. She has been engaged English teaching and information technology teaching awarded the title of Excellent Curriculum Civics Teacher in Ningbo, and the 15th Career and Family Balanced Advanced Individual of Zhejiang Province Education System. She has participated in the National Vocational College Informatization Teaching Competition and the Foreign Language Micro-learning Competition (National Competition) and won three awards in the National Competition and five awards in various teaching competitions at the provincial level or above. Additionally, she has published one monograph, presided over two provincial and ministerial-level projects, one departmental and municipal-level project and five municipal projects. She is mainly engaged in the teaching of basic English reading and English translation.
Jiaoyan Zhu
Jiaoyan Zhu, graduated from Ningbo University, master of English language and literature, who is responsible for online course maintenance and implementation.
