Description

This course is Amazing Machinery: Magical Powers of Mining and Metallurgical Equipment, a general education course for college students, introduces the commonly-used machines used in industries of mining, mineral processing and metallurgy. With vivid and interesting contents, the course is popular with students of all majors.

This course provides students of mining, mineral processing, metallurgy, materials and machinery with basic applications of mining and metallurgical equipment.  Acquiring the basic theories of mining and metallurgy machinery, students are then capable of solving practical problems, which lays a solid foundation for their future careers.

Course Outcome

This course aims at "increasing students' knowledge, improving their interest in learning and improving their innovative thinking ability". By combining their own teaching characteristics and scientific research experiences, the instructors adopt distinctive teaching methods, for instance, "case method", "intuitive demonstration method" and "task-driven method". The course provides students with the magical powers of mining and metallurgical equipment.
