About This Course
Every man-made structure is constructed on or within soils. Correct knowledge of soil behavior is fundamentally important for safeguarding the integrity and safety of the structure. The objective of this course is to introduce the basic concepts and fundamental principles of soil mechanics and provide analytical methods for design and evaluation of geotechnical structures such as foundations, slopes and retaining walls.
Requirements
Physics, hydraulics and mechanics of materials are required to take this course.
