About This Course

“Principles of Chemical Engineering” is a core course to the students whose majors are Chemical Engineering and related. It is a comprehensive class based on mathematics, physics, chemistry, and computer programming, by which the students can analyze and solve the engineering problems in chemical processes. The class starts with the basic principles of chemical engineering and gradually extend to their practical applications, during which helps the students to build stable knowledge systems of chemical engineering and technology, master solid skills of unit operations, and get access to the creative solutions to the real engineering problems, aiming for the primary education target of professional engineers with qualities of scholarship, leadership, and character. This class was awarded as University-Level Outstanding Class, Provincial Outstanding Class, Provincial Outstanding Open Class and Provincial Outstanding Resource-Sharing Class in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2014, respectively, which has established a multi-dimensional teaching system that combines knowledge learning in classroom and skill training during project design and laboratory experiment, promoted by online systems of resource-sharing, question & answer, self-learning and self-exam.

Ying Zeng

Doctor (postdoctoral), second-level professor, doctoral supervisor, academic and technical leader of Sichuan Province, excellent experts with outstanding contributions in Sichuan Province, and new century outstanding talents of the Ministry of Education.
Director of Academic Affairs Office of Chengdu University of Technology; Director of the Key Laboratory of Chemistry of Mineral Resources, Sichuan University; Director of the Collaborative Innovation Center for Comprehensive Utilization of Strategic Mineral Resources in Panxi, Sichuan Province; Member of the academic committee of the university.
It is mainly engaged in basic research and key technology research and development in the field of efficient exploitation of mineral resources and environment. In recent years, as a project manager, responsible for the Ministry of Science and Technology "863" plan resources environmental theme project project, national natural science foundation of China, the Ministry of Education in the new century talents program, the specialized research fund for the doctoral program of higher education subject (class tutors), science and technology support plan of SiChuan province, SiChuan province innovation team research plan, etc, more than 20 BuShengJi projects at the national level. He has published nearly 200 papers in domestic and international journals such as Chem. Eng. J., J. Chem. Eng. Data, Geochim. Coschim Acta, Chemical Journal of Universities and Universities, among which more than 110 are SCI papers.8 national invention patents have been applied. It has won one second and one third prize of scientific and technological achievements of Sichuan Province, and one second prize of scientific and technological achievements of Ministry of Land and Resources.He is the leader of the scientific and technological innovation team of "phase balance and brine chemical industry" in Sichuan Province.Principal of Chemical Engineering and Process;Responsible person for the construction of chemical engineering and technology;The Associate Editor has published one textbook of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan for Higher Education, and the Chief Editor has published one textbook of the Twelfth Five-Year Plan for Higher Education.

Her main courses are Principles of Chemical Engineering, Chemical Thermodynamics, Comprehensive Utilization of Mineral Resources, etc.

Xudong Yu

Doctor, associate professor, master's supervisor, was engaged in postdoctoral research at the Geological Resources and Geoprofessions#Geological engineering Postdoctoral Station of the Institute of Mineral Resources, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences in 2018. Served as a young editorial board member for "Inorganic Salt Industry", "Salt Lake Research", and "Mineral Protection and Utilization". Mainly conducting research work in the fields of phase equilibrium and phase separation technology, and comprehensive utilization of mineral resources.

In recent years, he has presided over one National Natural Science Foundation, one general application project, one regional innovation project of the Science and Technology Department of Sichuan Province, one key natural science project of the Education Department of Sichuan Province, one national 863 Program and one key project of the National Natural Science Foundation. He is a major member of the "Balanced and Brine Chemical" young scientific and technological innovation team in Sichuan Province; In J Chem Thermodyn, Fluid Phase Equilibria, J Chem Eng. Data, Chin J. Chem Eng, Korea J. Chem, J More than 70 papers have been published in domestic and foreign journals such as Solution Chem, Journal of Chemical Engineering, Journal of University Chemical engineering, among which more than 40 papers are included in SCI; As the main participant, I won one third prize of Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and one second prize of Land and Resources Science and Technology Award; Invited to Analytical Chemistry, Fluid Phase Equilibria, J Chem Expert reviewers for SCI publications such as Eng. Data.

Xiangdong Zeng

Doctor. From 2012 to 2017, I studied in the National Fukui University of Japan, during which I won the National Expensary of Japan (the scholarship of the Ministry of Education, Education, Science and Technology of the Japanese Government). In 2017, I graduated with a doctor's degree in engineering. In the same year, I returned to China and taught at Chengdu University of Technology.Based on the theory of electrochemistry, he is engaged in  research on new brine separation technology and industrial crystallization process .

Kun Zhou

Doctor,  professor, master tutor.In 2004, he graduated from the School of Chemical Engineering, Sichuan University with a Bachelor of Engineering degree.In 2007, he graduated from the School of Chemical Engineering, Sichuan University with a master's degree in engineering.In 2010, he graduated from the School of Chemical Engineering of Sichuan University and received his doctorate degree in engineering. In the same year, he was employed as a teacher at Chengdu University of Technology.He was promoted to associate professor in 2013.In 2014, she was added as master tutor.In 2014, she was awarded the title of "Three Yu Ren" by Chengdu University of Technology.
The main research areas are mineral resources development and utilization, separation and purification technology.His main research direction is phosphorus chemical industry;Separation and extraction technology of rare earth metals and its application in comprehensive utilization of resources;New crystallization and extraction separation techniques.It is open to graduate students majoring in chemical process and mineral resources chemistry.
In recent years, he has presided over 4 doctoral programs funded by the Ministry of Education, Chengdu University of Technology Young Backcore Teacher Program, and participated in 5 programs including National Professional Title Program, 863 Program, and National Natural Science Foundation of China.With the support of the project, more than 10 papers have been published in domestic and foreign academic journals such as J. Chem. Eng. Data, Journal of Chemical Engineering, Journal of Sichuan University, Journal of Inorganic Chemical Engineering, etc., among which 8 papers are indexed by SCI and 1 paper is indexed by EI.I applied for 6 patents.

Wei Xiang

Doctor, master supervisor.In 2016, she graduated from Sichuan University majoring in chemical technology and received her doctorate degree in engineering. In the same year, she entered Chengdu University of Technology College of Chemical Engineering and engaged in teaching in the field of chemical engineering and technology.His research interests include key electrode materials for lithium/sodium ion secondary batteries and lithium solid electrolyte.

Hao Shi

Associate professor, is the director of Chemical Engineering at Chengdu University of Technology. Dr. Hao Shi was awarded a PhD in Polymer science and Engineering at the Sichuan University. He has over ten years’ experience in teaching and academia research. His projects are focusing on the surface and interface between polymer materials and inorganic materials, degradation and upgrade of organic macromolecular. He is a fellow of the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China.

Size Zheng

Associated researcher, he got a doctorial degree on Chemical Engineering and a master degree on Computer Science from University of Southern California, and  two bachelor's degrees on Chemical Engineering and International Economy and Trading from Qingdao University of Science and Technology. His projects are focusing on molecular dynamics simulations of protein interactions on different solid surfaces, and protein folding and aggregation associated with Alzheimer's disease, ALS and many other neuro-degenerative diseases.

Xiaoke Li

2012, graduated from Southwest Petroleum University with a bachelor's degree in engineering. Aug. 2016-Mar. 2017, joint doctoral training in City University of New York, USA; June 2017, graduated from Southwest Petroleum University, majoring in Chemical Engineering and Technology. From June 2017 to February 2019, worked in Chengdu Organic Chemistry Co., Ltd., Chinese Academy of Sciences as the R&D Director of Carbon Nanotube Application Department.  March 2019, joined the School of Materials and Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Chengdu University of Technology and engaged in teaching and scientific research. At present, he is mainly engaged in the research of the preparation and properties of novel nanofluids and the application of nanofluids. Up to now, he has published more than 20 SCI papers and Chinese core journal papers, with a total of more than 200 citation times and an H index of 12. He has published 12 SCI papers as the first author or corresponding author, and many of his papers have been selected as ESI hot papers and highly cited papers.
