About This Course
The “father of modern anthropology” Franz Boas said. “eye is the window of soul”. So, eye is very important for us.
Ophthalmology is a branch of medicine dealing with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases of the eye. This lesson focuses on the different aspects of ophthalmology, offering you a greater understanding of the anatomy, physiology and disorders of the eye.
Ophthalmology is divided into several clinical subspecialties, such as cataract, glaucoma, uveitis, retina, and so on. We'll introduce them one by one.
Another important thing is that eye is not an isolated structure, but a sense organ closely associated with the whole body. Most eye diseases are not just local problems of eyes, but associated with multiple systems and organs of the whole body. So, the diagnosis and treatment need a combination of various measures and clinical departments. You can view more information about it in our lesson.
