About This Course

Internal medicine is an important subject in the field of clinical medicine. It involves a wide range of aspects and is highly integrated. In the diagnosis and prevention of diseases of various organ systems in the human body, the characteristic of internal medicine is that the diagnostic and treatment measures are not traumatic or only slightly traumatic. Internal medicine is not only the foundation of various disciplines in clinical medicine, but also has a close relationship with them. In recent years, with the vigorous development of the theory and technology of basic medicine such as biology, internal medicine has also entered a period of rapid development.

Wang Wei, professor, Chief physician, doctoral supervisor, director of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University, now a member of the Standing Committee of the Respiratory Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and a deputy director of the Liaoning Respiratory Society, he was appointed as "Distinguished Professor of Liaoning Province" in 2015, "Young Famous Doctor of Liaoning Province" in 2017, and "Outstanding Talents of Liaoning Province - Leading Talents of the Hundred Million Talent Project" in 2018.

In recent years,

(1) Undertake 3 National Natural Science Foundation (general projects) and 7 provincial and ministerial funding projects; Published nearly 100 papers as the first author or corresponding author in international and domestic core journals, and participated in writing 12 diagnostic and treatment guidelines;

(2) We have taken the lead in establishing a sleep laboratory in China and won the third prize of the first Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award in 2001 and the second prize of the Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award in 2010. We are the first in the world to apply transcranial magnetic stimulation technology to upper airway research, and our research results have won the second prize of Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and the third prize of Shenyang Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award; Invited to speak and win awards at the European Respiratory Conference, American Respiratory Conference, and Asia Pacific Respiratory Conference multiple times;

(3) Led the team to actively carry out high-tech, and carried out the first remote controlled mandibular titration technology for precise treatment of obstructive sleep apnea patients in Asia. It was the first in China to carry out respiratory intervention technologies such as BTPNA;

(4) As a training base for resident and specialist physicians, lead the department to actively undertake standardized training for resident and specialist physicians; Actively cultivating young physicians, the students under their guidance have won two national scholarships, two outstanding graduates, and three outstanding projects. The students under their guidance have won multiple awards at international conferences.

(5) Due to outstanding teaching work, he has been awarded the titles of "Outstanding Young Backbone Teacher of Liaoning Province", "Top Ten Teachers", and "Teaching Role Model Award".
