About This Course
This course was lectured by Pan Wenxun (Associate Professor), and was jointly demonstrated by Wu Yongliang(Professor),Wu Shanming (Professor), Xu Mo (Professor), Sheng Tianye (Professor), Lin Wan (Associate Professor) and Deng Xianxian (Lecturer). Starting from the classic works of traditional Chinese figure painting, step by step and detail by detail, this course will help students understand the linear brush and ink expression of traditional Chinese painting and the oriental aesthetic concepts.
Requirements
The objective of this course is to help students understand and master the historical development and the basic painting techniques of Chinese figure painting, so as to equip them with the essential methods to appreciate Chinese figure paintings and to deepen their understanding of this traditional art.
Course Staff
Pan WenXun
Pan Wenxun, born in Hangzhou in 1976, and now works in the college of Chinese painting department of China Academy of art. She is currently a professor, director of the figure teaching and Research Office, master's tutor, and concurrently a director of Zhejiang Figure Painting Research Association.
Xu Mo
Xu Mo, graduated from Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in 1987 and has been teaching in the school ever since. Now he is a professor of China Academy of Art, a doctor of fine arts, and a supervisor of master and doctoral students. Member of Chinese Artists Association, vice president of Zhejiang Figure Painting Research Association. The published book 'Xu Mo line drawing character sketching' is a good demonstration of how to effectively integrate the western sketch teaching system with the requirements and elements of Chinese painting to form a scientific and reasonable teaching method of Chinese painting modeling training.
Sheng TianYe
Sheng Tianye, professor of Chinese painting department of China Academy of Art, master tutor, member of Chinese Artists Association, good at freehand figure painting, under the tutelage of Mr. Liu Guohui. He has been teaching figure painting in the College of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy of China Academy of Fine Arts and has accumulated rich teaching experience. He has participated in professional large-scale academic exhibitions at home and abroad for many times and presided over a number of large-scale thematic creations.
Deng XianXian
Deng Xianxian, graduated from the Department of Chinese Painting of China Academy of Art and received his PhD degree. He is now a lecturer at China Academy of Art. He has been engaged in teaching figure painting in the College of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy of China Academy of Fine Arts, and has accumulated rich teaching experience. He has participated in professional large-scale academic exhibitions at home and abroad for many times and won a number of provincial and ministerial professional awards.
Lin Wan
Lin Wan, a lecturer at the School of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, China Academy of Art. She has been teaching figure painting in the College of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy of China Academy of Fine Arts and has accumulated rich teaching experience. He has rich artistic creation and has participated in professional large-scale academic exhibitions at home and abroad for many times. He has won a number of provincial and ministerial professional awards.
