About This Course
The history of Chinese landscape painting is dynamic and boldly embodies the wisdom of ancient Chinese culture and its profound system of aesthetics. The unique knowledge, artistic spirit, modes of thinking, particular painting practices, and material legacy developed by ancient Chinese painters created a unique tradition of painting. This course will observe and interpret landscape paintings from a more three-dimensional dimension, explore the wonderful and even mysterious spiritual world of ancient Chinese painters through images and historical texts, and use the discipline of art to open the door to understanding Chinese culture.

孔令伟 Kong Lingwei
Kong Lingwei, born in Qufu, Shandong Province, China. He graduated from the China Academy of Art in 2002. He is currently the vise dean, professor and doctoral supervisor of the Advanced School of Arts and Humanities of the China Academy of Art.
