Welcome to Learning Innovation: Transforming Education in Digital Age!

In this course, we will explore how learning innovation is transforming education in the digital age—especially through the integration of information and communication technology (ICT). Let us make the most of this online learning.

As future educators and change agents, you are likely no stranger to innovation in education. For instance, your experiences with online learning during the pandemic are a powerful example of how education can rapidly evolve. Innovation, in this context, refers to the introduction of new ideas, methods, or tools within a social system—such as your own campus environment.

This course will help you understand and apply key concepts of learning innovation, with a strong focus on ICT-based strategies. By the end of the course, you are expected to design and propose an innovation in learning that responds to the demands of 21st-century education.

  • Define and identify characteristics of learning innovation, and the paradigm shift shaping student competencies
  • Demonstrate the role of ICT-based learning innovation
  • Evaluate ICT Readiness and The Open Education Movement
  • Orchestrate online learning and assessment
  • Develop innovative, pedagogy-based learning designs using emerging technologies.
