Course Overview
This course introduces students to the conceptual and theoretical framework and foundation of instructional system design applied to design an effective online learning system. Through this course, you will learn about the essence of e-learning, how instructional system designers work, learning theories underlie online learning, and how to design an online learning system using a particular instructional system design.
Course Learning Outcomes
Terminal Course Learning Outcome: At the end of this course, you will design an online learning system for a specific context using a particular instructional system design model.
Enabling Course Learning Outcomes:
- Based on a particular case you picked, you will be able to demonstrate how online learning should ideally be happening in an actual situation.
- You will be able to demonstrate how some learning theories (educational model), instructional strategy, and learning technology related to the implementation of online learning.
- You will be able to design a synchronous learning activity based on a particular case you picked.
You will be able to design an asynchronous learning activity based on a particular case you picked.
