About This Course

Entrepreneurship is the engine for economic growth. Creative ideas transform raw resources into products and services to improve the quality of human life. Of course, those creative ideas make money for those who execute them. Small Island is an interesting context to discuss how entrepreneurship generates prosperity for the inhabitants of small islands, often beyond their geographical boundaries. Indonesia is a country with thousands of small islands, with diverse cultures, customs and resources. This course discusses how entrepreneurship brings life to the small islands in Indonesia

This is a non-credit course. Participants can set their own pace (self-paced) to complete the course by reading materials, watching videos provided, and taking quizzes in each session. Participants should accomplish three sessions with an estimated time requirement of 3-5 hours per session. There is no specific skill required to enroll in this course

After completing this course, participants should be: a) understand how entrepreneurship works in a small Island context, conceptually; b) understand about entrepreneurship practices in Indonesian small islands, c) understand about the concept problem solution fit in the context entrepreneurship in small island, and analyse the implementation of problem-solution fit in the context of small island cases discussed here; Bali Island, Lombok Island dan Untung Java Island
